Notes on VPS Hosting

  • Most orders are set up within a few hours, but please be prepared to wait for up to 24 hours during busy periods.
  • The Linux VPS that you will be assigned is unmanaged. You are responsible for maintenance and management of your Linux VPS. You must have a suitable firewall and remain vigilant to hacking attempts and exploits.You will have full root access to your VPS via SSH but support for software within your VPS is not contractually provided (although we are happy to help occasional issues).
  • Please specify and specific VPS partitioning needs in your order if required.
  • Unless you are hosting simple, mostly static web pages, or merely using your virtual account as storage, we recommend you consider a VPS hosting package of at least 256MB RAM in order to improve performance. You may start with the smallest Linux VPS hosting package and upgrade at a later point if you wish.
  • Extra bandwidth is charged at $0.05 per GB, chargeable monthly in arrears.
