Terminology
- DTC-Mount: This is the server that the DTC images are mounted against. This is a SSHFS mount on /usr/share/dtc-xen-os, /usr/share/dtc-xen-app and /usr/share/dtc-xen-hvm. At present, Europe mounts are against node00001 and American mounts are against node01001. There is a backup NFS mount strategy should SSHFS fail us.

You currently pay £285/Month for a quarter rack with 6 amps of power which looks to be a good deal. Our normal price is £225 with 2 amps so you are only paying an extra £15/Amp, our normal price is £35/Amp per month. Let me know if you would like to lower your monthly power commitment.

Proposed upgrades for old 1U server
Putting NVMe SSDs into 3.5" bay
Two solutions:
- Expensive Icy Dock solution which works over MiniSAS HD
- Cheap StarTech solution - get two 2.5" NVMe adapters that work over U.2 and put them in this dual 2.5" -> 3.5" backet. I've confirmed the screw holes line up.
Additional random links
- M.2 extender to fit longer M.2 PCIe drives
- PCIe x4 to M.2 adapter or this one
- 2 x 32 GB DDR4 2666/2400 sticks (not sure if ECC or not)
- Mini-SAS Connector to connect up to 5 SATA drives
- 4 SATA drives in a 3.5" enclosure
- Other exotic ideas, e.g. Oculink -> 4 x Oculink (1 lane each), Riser card, PCIe -> 4 x Oculink card again, PCIe -> 4 x NVMe again or the extensive list at Scan including Highpoint controllers.
Currently decommissioned
These were originally in Coventry rack C20 but are now stored in Milton Keynes.
