So, you need to reset the physical server? That's a shame.
- Try and text/ring Marc Warne if possible. If there is no response to a text within 5 minutes, continue.
- Go to the Rapidswitch Control Panel
- Go to the relevant server, select Power Cycle and you should be presented with:
- Click Request Power Cycle if you believe there's nothing else you can do.
- Keep an eye on the KVM session to ensure it boots up correctly. It make take up to 30 minutes for the request to be carried out.
- Log in as your normal user on the console.
- su to root.
- Ensure that all domUs are starting up correctly by examining xm list and possibly xm console. Correlate this list with the currently active Customers.
- Send an email only to affected customers with the title GigaTux - Unscheduled Outage to customers. There should be a template in the Templates folder in the webmail.
- Text/ring Marc Warne again to let him know if the server is up and running again.
