After payment has been taken from the customer, it is time to set him up on the DTC Control Panel.
Create the customer account
- Go to the Customer Management button at the top and select New customer:
- Fill in as many details as you can on this page and click save. You can ignore the Quota and Allowed data transfer boxes at the bottom.
- Go to the Users Administration button at the top and select New virtual admin:
- Add the login name using their firstname followed immediately by their surname unless they request a specific username. Add a digital at the end if there are any conflicts.
- Set a password using the password provided in their database entry in the custpackage table using the phpMyAdmin console. If they have not set a suitable password (e.g. blank, too simple or invalid), generate one using the cog symbol to the right of the password box.
- Go back to the Customer Management window, select the customer previously created and Add an administrator to this customer, selecting the username just created:
