Overview

We try to keep it very simple. If it's obviously illegal, it's not allowed.

Not Allowed

We never actively try to find content that's not allowed. Examples of things that are not allowed by law include:

  • Child pornography
  • Most commercial movies/TV programmes/music (where copyright exists and permission has not been given to redistribute)

If potential child pornography is spotted, Marc has an account with a USA governmental body that he can forward information to. They can then decide on the best course of action. Marc can also make a call if links are found even if the content is not directly hosted with GigaTux.

Allowed

Things that are certainly in a grey area, but we don't modify without a court order/DMCA include:

  • Links to the content listed above, including magnet links
  • Tutorials on anything, including how to crack software, find drugs etc.
  • Programs designed to crack other software, unless they also directly infringe copyright
