Elastix 2.3.0 and FreePBX 1.812.210.57 Available on any Linux VPS
Completing the major Linux distribution refresh that has been underway, GigaTux is proud to announce that the latest stable versions of Elastix and FreePBX, two leading free VoIP PBX solutions, are now available for immediate install on any Linux VPS. GigaTux recommends 256MB at the very least for these distributions, but preferably 512MB.
A GigaTux VPS is ideal for hosting a VoIP solution because of its reliability and constant latency. GigaTux's own phone systems now run on FreePBX on a regular VPS (although if any issues do occur, this can easily be changed manually). GigaTux's experiements show that the performance of these distributions on GigaTux's Xen platform is an ideal solution to most VoIP and PBX requirements.
